      教育活动课程是促进学生全面而有个性地发展、实现高中阶段特色化办学的重要渠道。中美高中在教育活动课程的实践上,存在理念和操作两方面的差异。教育活动课程应充分关注学生个体作为人的发展,以及其与社区和时代发展的关系,鼓励“自下而上”进行开设。通过对美国一所精英寄宿制高中和中国一所具有中西结合理念的国际高中的个案研究,能够获得我国普通高中在开展教育活动课程方面形成自身特色的启迪。

      Educational activity courses are an important channel to facilitate students to develop into unique and all-rounded selves, and to make high schools develop their own characteristics. There are differences in both ideas and actual operations in terms of the practice of educational activity courses in American and Chinese high schools. Educational activity courses should put enough emphasis on students’ individual development as a person and its relationship with the development of the community and the times that the person belongs to. High schools are encouraged to open educational activity courses by implementing the “bottom up” practice. We may incorporate western practices from an American elite high school and an international high school in China which has already combined western and eastern experience in practice. Thereon we can further combine both eastern and western educational ideas and practices, thus we may get enlightenment on developing educational activity courses in China’s high schools into unique ones with their own characteristics.
