      民国初年孔教运动的构想,相当部分源于明治日本的经验,这自然吸引了有贺长雄、内藤湖南、服部宇之吉等同时代日本思想家的关注。不过,他们眼中的“孔教”,已经不再是中国专有的儒家核心价值,而是变成了日本精神的有机组成部分。他们的目标,是要确立以日本为主体的“日本孔教”,在所谓文化中心位移、重新创造自身“历史”的冲动之中,为近代日本的崛起寻求法理依据。正是这份优越意识和自负心,令他们毫无顾忌地点评近代中国的思想变迁,也注定了其难以真正理解风云变幻期中国知识阶层的思想苦闷。
英文摘要:
      The idea of the Confucian movement in the early years of the Republic of China, stemming from the Meiji Japan’s experiences to a large extend, attracted the attention of Ariga Nagao, Naito Konan, Hattori Unokichi and other Japanese thinkers of the same period. However, in their eyes, Confucianism was no longer a proprietary core value of Chinese Confucianism, but an integral part of the Japanese spirit. Driven by the impulse of displacing cultural center and recreating their own “history”, they aimed to establish the Japan-based “Confucianism”, and sought legal basis for the rise of the Empire of Japan. It was their superior consciousness and conceit that they made comments on ideological changes of modern China without scruple, and they hardly understood the anguish of the Chinese intellectuals.
